Qualimet was founded in 1973 as a welder testing facility, in response to new Alberta legislation that required all welders of pressure equipment to be tested. From that customer-centric beginning, Qualimet has grown into one of Western Canada's leading welding engineering companies.

Since its inception, Qualimet has expanded from two employees to over ten full-time staff. Our staff qualifications include a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering, Professional Engineers, Registered Engineering Technologists, Certified Engineering Technologists, CWB Level III Certified Inspectors, CGSB Certified Technicians, and over 100 years of relevant combined experience.
